Can you combine Aciclovir and zinc sulfate in a cold sores creme? What basis would be appropriate?

Answer

Isn't this the simplest formula?   R/Acyclovir 5 g; polyethylene glycol 4000 28.2   g; Polyethyleneglycol 400 41.8 G and propylene glycol 25 g

I think that given the absence of water znsulfate can be added. I would not use znsulfate with crystal water. If not on the market, dry the znsulfate in the oven at 150 °C. Make the znsulfate very fine beforehand by grinding in eg an electric coffee grinder.

The ointment Is too consistent then the amount of PEG 4000 can be reduced to 25 and PEG 400 to 50 g
