It was recommended to make a trituration with lactose first. Why is Aerosil needed in this preparation?
Answer
The TMF will also be used for the preparation of these capsules from a 2% trituration of which 1.45 G is applied for 20 capsules, an excess of 5% counted. This quantity is further diluted with Diluens A, which contains lactose powder 99.5 g and 0.5 g SiO2 Coll, which is added as lubricant.
