A customer asked us to make the following oil-like preparation: Propolis mother Tinktuur 50% MPG (= abbreviation for?) 50%

The only excipient in which I was able to process 50% propolis MT was Carbopol gel. But since this preparation OA. Should serve to cover wounds in fish, I look for a more suitable lipophilic excipiens. Silicones and Cetiols yielded no results. Do you have any idea what product MPG refers to and where it can be ordered?

Answer

I have been able to find that at propolis there are often abbreviations that refer to the liquid used for extraction such as eg:
EEP Ethanol extract
GEP glycol extract
OEP Oil extract
MPG Monopropylene glycol
