How do I Entocort capsule in a tube Colitofalk enemas?

on prescription of an internist I recently had to add the powder from a capsule Enterocort to a tube Colitofalk enema. In Total I made a stock for 14 days. The Pati ë NT claimed that at a previous occasion another pharmacist did not perform this preparation with the argument that the obtained mixture would not be stable. The Pati ë NT had to mix the two components on a daily basis. Inquire at the company Codali did not solve the problem as they claimed to have no experience with this mixture. The pH of Colitfalk enema is 5, so adding a cortisone derivative to me should not be a real problem. Can you let me know if here is a galenic problem that prevents to impose a stock of several weeks. Thanks in advance.

Answer

I suspect you meant Entocort?
now the contents of those capsules is not a simple powder anyway?
the contents of the capsules are acid-resistant granules or pellets? Not easy to mix with the enema?
I do not immediately see any chemical instability but possibly a problem of demension. Although the coating has to dissolve at pH 5 (Colitofalk), it may still be consulted to rub or grind the granules into powder. The homogeneity and the release of the budenoside can only improve.
