The raw material diltiazem HCl is not available from the wholesaler. Which speciality do I choose here, to process 2 G AXLE?

I would use regular tablets and extract those with the bulk of water that you need for the preparation of the gel. One can suspect an incompatibility between diltiazemH + and CMC -. Therefore, it is better to use a hydroxyethylcellulose gel as described on page 174 of the booklet ' Galenic formularium '.
