Eugenol mixed with zinc oxide could be used as an inexpensive analgear for teeth in Africa.
Answer
One mixes equal parts eugenol and zinc oxide. The ratio may vary slightly depending on the desired consistency. An alternative is: ZnO 6.7 g and thymol 3.3 g. The thymol is melted beforehand on a hot water bath and then mixed with the zinc oxide.
