Warming lotion with methylsalicylate breaks

Camphor 50 g Chloroform 50 ml methylsalicylate 200 ml Cetomacrogol lotion 350 g Cetomacrogol creme 350 g I start by mixing the Cetomacrogol Creme and lotion, after which I add the methylsalicylate. Then I dissolve camphor in chloroform. If I add this last and mixer into it, the whole is completely aqueous... Nothing more in texture. Emulsifier added and placed in Frigo. Both did not help.

Answer

I would dissolve the camphor and methylsalicylate in chloroform and emulsify this solution to the Cetomacrogol cream. Then we observe the consistency, the smeinability and the penetration of the mixture into the skin. Well possible that we have a good liniment. If too consistent, small amounts (25 ml) of Cetomacrogol lotion can be added until we obtain a good instable preparation. Once obtained, calculate how much cetomacrogol lotion is still lacking. Divide this amount into equal parts cream and lotion and add that to your already prepared portion. If we have a liquid product, add the rest under the form of cream.
