We make a 5% MILD silver protein solution in water for irrigation for bladder irrigation. But, with the new USP 797 guidelines, we need to figure out how to sterilize it - since it is an irrigation. Any ideas on how to sterilize this product without destroying the protein?

I would take a bottle of sterilized water for irragation, weigh aseptically the silver protein and dissolve it aseptically in this water in a LAF cabinet. You cannot use heat as the protein will be denaturated and membrane filtration through a 0.2 µm membrane filter is very difficult because of the viscosity.
