How do I add 3g urea to 30g Betnelan V cream?

Answer

  • the cited rule in question ' How do I add 1.5 g of urea to Betnelan V or Eumovate ointment 30g ' is also applicable here. A good cream base is the Cetomacrogol cream of the British Pharmacopoeia. The composition of this cream is analogous to the composition of the water-containing emulsifying ointment of the OJ V but the self-emulating wax (Lanette N) should be replaced by Cetomacrogol self-emulating (Emulsigade 1000 NI);

  • The urea can be dissolved in a small amount of retained water and added to the prepared cream; after all, it will dissolve immediately in the external water phase.

  • The blend of the cream, which after adding the urea, is determined can be remedied by adding 2.5 g aerosil. This amount is deducted from the amount of water present in the cream.
