How to solubilize your salicylic acid 1% in this emulsion for external use: Miglyol 200 g Comperlan KD 50 g eumulgin 05 50 g cetiol 50 ml paraffin oil AD 500ml

< br/> By adding Cetomacrogol 1000 do you still get a solid shape after cooling down? However, rubbing with cetiol appears to crystallize.

Answer

First and foremost, we do not have to do with an emulsion here. Here We have an oil solution, which will give water to the formation of an emulsion. In any case, I would not add cetomacrogol, given that we do not have a water-holding system. I suspect that salicylic acid is more soluble in vegetable Oli ë N such as Miglyol or in a liquid wax such as Cetiol.
I would suggest first to try or dissolve the salicylic acid in the mixture without the liquid paraffin. If yes, I would gradually attach liquid paraffin under good mixing; When salicylic acid is deposited, you can add either a small amount of Cetiol or sweet almond oil. The latter is also a good solvent for salicylic acid.
