Question
Posted on: March 6 2013A hydroxyethylcellulose gel with 0.1% triamcinolonacetonide.
The percentage of HEC is not listed. But for an application on the oral mucosa I would think of 6%?
Answer
The viscosity of the gel depends on on the one hand the type (low or high viscous choice) of the HEC used and the concentration used. Both are connected with each other.
given to the HEC, which is supplied in Belgi ë, is attributed a viscosity of 400 mPa. s, it is advisable to prepare a 6% gel.
