Please provide your solution for the following preparation: Salicylic Acid 7% betametasone diprop 0.05% LCD 5% cetyl Ointment Cream Aqua AD 100%

This ointment breaks, even after adding tween 80. Also after adding 10 gr Arlacel + Ava Cr è me instead of cetyl ointment to be aqua.

Answer

Adding Tween 80 is a wrong choice. Ava cr è me or Cetyl ointment will not change anything essential.

take a tarred mortar (with pestle) and vapor the 5g LCD dry e.g. with a hair dryer; add betamethasone dipropionate and fill with starch up to 10g and mix. Add salicylic acid and mix. Apply on 100g with cooled cetyl ointment with water. Add the latter in fractions and homogenize after each addition. Should the CR è Show me a tendency to break at a certain moment add 1g Arlacel C.
