Precipitation in borax solution.

In a 20% borax solution used for bladder rinse, wrapped in a plastic bottle, a precipitate arises. This precipitation is delayed when wrapping in a glass bottle. Addition of bicarbonate gave no improvement.

Answer

Borax is maximally soluble up to 6% in water. Addition of bicarbonate does not extract anything from 20% glycerin per 100 ml. Note the solution becomes acidic. Check the pH. If an of PH is desired, only the concentration of borax remains to be reduced to e.g. 5%.
