Processing Beclometasone in Colitofalk lavement

We get a question from a specialist to process Beclometasone Dipropionate 5mg in Colitofalk lavement. What would be the appropriate way of working?

Answer

Given the small amount of beclomethasone, it would be best to prepare a trituration beforehand in order to ensure a homogeneous distribution in the viscous medium. The trituration would be best a trituration 1 on 100. The   use of a rotor-stator mixer is highly recommended.

A possible numbe problem can be the pH value of the Colitofalk suspension. The ideal pH value for beclomethasone propionate = 5.5, where the least hydrolysis occurs. . I suspect that it is possible to reduce the pH value of the Colitofalk suspension slightly to 6 without a too large loss of viscosity. Due to the absence of 5-aminosalicylic acid It is not possible to prepare a custom 5-aminosalicylic acid suspension.
