Question concerning preparations from the TMF.

From the TMF I select the following preparations:
  1. Joodpovidon 10gr, Macrogol 400 55gr, Macrogol 4000 25gr, purified water qs ad 100gr. Why shouldn't you use Aqua Conservans? And if Aqua Conservans is allowed, the shelf life is longer than 2 months.
  2. chlorhexidine acetate 1gr, Aqua Conservans ad 100gr. It is indicated that the Pati ë NT should make a dilution itself. Is detention otherwise too limited?
at the speciality Cedium is added after Chloride. What purpose does this have?

Answer

  1. Adding preservatives Here is completely redundant seen in this middle germs can develop impossible. This would not change the shelf life. Let me remind you that the maximum expiry date used was arbitrable at 2 months, as this is sufficient for a magisterial preparation.
  2. a 1% chlorhexidine solution I do not find back at 0.5 and 0.05%, both can be used undiluted. Adding NaCl to Cedium has to do with the isotonic.
