Replacement of oleic acid used in the preparation of zinc oil

This product s has not been obtained for some time at the wholesalers. So can this be replaced?

Answer

Oleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid. Oleic acid does not exist called Oleine.

Oleic acid   forms with a W/O emulsifier and is used in the aforementioned preparation as a humidifier of the hydrophilic ZnO to improve contact with the fat phase.

You can therefore temporarily replace it with Arlacel C BV 5 dr per 100 g zinc oil.
