Rivotril Clysmas.

Is there anything known about making a Rivotril enema? The droplets contain OA acetic acid, so maybe there is a stability problem? The concentration should amount to 1mg/enema.

Answer

I looked at the composition of the liquid Rivotril preparations.
  • the drops contain saccharin sodium (954), propylene glycol (1520), glacial acetic acid (260) and peach Flavour 85 502 acidified to pH 3.8.
  • The injection contains ethanol, benzyl alcohol, propylene glycol (1520) and glacial acetic acid (260).
I find it all a bit peculiar that one speaks in such middle of pH. I do not know exactly why acidified. For solubility or stability?
Now when I look at the composition of the injections I think they approached the composition of diazepam rectioles. That is why I would like to propose to you whether it succeeds in this composition.
