Is there an alternative to Oleosorbate 80?

Oleosorbate 80 was used by a Pati ë nt with tracheotomy. However, this is from trading. Also Cerumenol droplets are now also out of trade. Is there another alternative?

Answer

Geneva University Hospital publishes following composition:

Remarques

  • conditionner dansun flacon avec pipette

The use mine is surprisingly short. Presumably this has something to do with some applications for which a sterilized specimen is highly appropriate. However, We must note that the solution does not contain a preservative. An episode of 100ml does not seem appropriate! Given the application, I would sterilize the whole at 120 °C in the autoclave or at 100 °C on the running water bath. For the physiological serum, an ampoule or Flapul NaCl 0.9% can be used.
