Water join from the next W/O cream. Can this be corrected? Erythromycin 500mg Salicylic Acid 300mg urea 1.5 g hydrocortisone 300mg Sweet Almond oil 3ml

Water 10ml
waterholding Eucerin FN 6 ad 30g < BR/> First, Eucerine was prepared with an aqua FN6 and then sweet Almond oil was added. Then I added erythromycin and then salicylic acid and urea. When adding hydrocortisone, water dissociated itself. Do I have to suggest a different basis to the doctor?

Answer

I need to guess a bit for the cause of breaking the emulsion. There is certainly an incompatibility between salicylic acid and erythromycin with formation of the salt erythromycin salicylate. I do not exclude that this salt has emulsifying properties, which leads to the formation of an O/W emulsion. So just the opposite type if this is what you need. Consequently, I would suggest the doctor to remove salicylic acid from its composition.
