When the next solution remains for a while, salicylic acid always crystallizes out. How can this be prevented?

Salicylic Acid 5% Propylene glycol 10% Alcohol 94 ° Aqua AA AD 100% DT 300 ml Alcohol 94 ° We replaced it with rubbing alcohol 85% V/V. First the solution is perfectly clear, but not much later salicylic acid always starts to crystallize. Is this due to low alcohol levels and is it better to use denatured alcohol?

Answer

I note that you are using denatured alcohol 85% v/V? Start using alcohol of 94 °  . Perhaps the precipitation does not arise.

You do have a precipitation then you will have to increase the alcohol level. The method to be used will be found by filling in the search box salicylic acid.
